About Provost Finance & Controllership

USC Provost Finance and Controllership is the business services department of the Office of the Provost. Divided into finance and controllership teams, we are responsible for oversight of the University’s finances, including efficient and accurate transaction processing, financial reporting, budgeting and financial planning, cash and debt management and responding to internal audit services. Our department’s mission is to consistently deliver timely, accurate, high-quality, innovative service and leadership in financial accounting, planning, analysis, operations and compliance, in support of USC’s teaching and research objectives.

We commit to steward USC’s assets efficiently, such that resources are assured for current and future generations of faculty and students.


USC Provost Finance & Controllership is part of Provost Shared Services, a group of five business units within the Office of the Provost which provide strategic expertise on a wide range of business, technology and personnel functions.
